Our pet baskets are made from high-density natural wool felt, composed of at least 85% natural wool and selected for its durability, structure, and ability to withstand everyday use.
Here are a few suggested uses for each of our sizes. We still recommend checking the dimensions listed on each product page to choose the basket that best suits your needs.
Mini — Rings, earrings, coins, business cards, and other very small items.
Compact — Jewelry, earbuds, personal care products, office accessories, cables, chargers, and small everyday essentials.
XS — Phones, game controllers, remote controls, wallets, or small items kept near the entryway. Ideal as a catchall tray.
Small/Petit — 14 × 12 in — Mittens, hats, scarves, small toys, personal belongings, or closet storage. Also suitable for very small dogs, small cats, and kittens.

The MATT™ decorative basket was born from a real problem encountered by its founder, Kim Landry, an architect and cat owner. She was looking for a resting space that would genuinely respond to cats’ instinctive behaviors, without adding another padded pet bed that was difficult to clean, not very durable, and sometimes hard to integrate into a contemporary interior.
The starting point was found in a very simple object: the cardboard box, an iconic object that cats often choose instinctively to curl up in, observe their surroundings, or rest. Kim wanted to preserve its simplicity, reassuring edges, and clearly defined shape, while creating something more durable, easier to maintain, and better suited to the home.
Using an approach inspired by her architectural practice, the basket was designed from a single sheet of high-density wool felt. Precise cuts, carefully considered folds, and a limited number of components allow the flat material to become a stable and functional structure, without integrated padding or a cover that is difficult to maintain. The basket can be unfolded to make cleaning, storage, and transport easier, then returned to its shape through its folds and fasteners.
This construction reduces unnecessary elements, as well as parts that could deform or become damaged over time. The result is a basket inspired by real animal behavior and developed through an architectural approach attentive to material, function, durability, and integration into the surrounding space. Because of its distinctive character, the MATT™ basket design has also been the subject of an industrial design registration application.

Yes. Wool felt has a naturally flexible structure, while remaining stable enough to form a functional container. The folds and cuts have been carefully considered so the basket keeps its shape during use while maintaining a soft, lightweight appearance.
